Here are some notes about using batteries in winter:

1) The use of electrolyte in the battery is very critical. First, check the replenishment of distilled water. Adding distilled water in time is the key to the normal use of the battery, and it is also closely related to the service life of the battery. It is best to add distilled water after the battery is fully charged to prevent the electrolyte from overflowing when the battery is charged;

2) In winter, due to the low temperature and slow ion reaction, the battery charging time will be extended, but the discharge time will be shortened. This is a normal phenomenon, don't worry;

3) appropriate heat insulation measures should be taken at the battery charging place, on the one hand, to ensure that the battery can be charged normally, on the other hand, to ensure that the battery liquid will not freeze;

4) The surface of the battery must be cleaned. Dust and electrolyte overflow and adhere to the surface of the battery, which will cause the battery to discharge itself and affect the use of the battery.

5) Regularly check the battery level, clean the surface of the battery, and check whether the specific gravity of the battery is in good condition.

In addition, if the battery is not used for a long time, the battery needs to be placed in a high temperature place to prevent the battery from freezing due to low temperature. If the ambient temperature in the northern area is lower than -10, the discharged battery will freeze. The frozen battery must be thawed before charging, otherwise direct charging may cause an explosion. It is best to use a small current to charge slowly.
